Favorite November Purchases

I know, I know – it’s December and Christmas is next week, but I decided this might be helpful. If you need gift ideas, or you’re looking for some cute things for yourself – this is the post for you. Honestly, these items are all over the place, but I just thought I’d share. Here’s some of my favorite November purchases 🙂

Danielle Walker’s Eat What You Love Cookbook

At the time of writing this, I haven’t received the cookbook – but I did preorder it. I’m a huge fan for Danielle’s and have loved all her cookbooks (Celebrations is one of my favorite and most used cookbooks)! I normally don’t preorder cookbooks, but with this one, you received a free instant pot recipe cookbook and I couldn’t pass that up! I’m excited for the book to arrive and will do a full review when it comes.

Wife Between Us

I’ve been trying really hard to put my phone down at night and start reading more. I recently finished reading Harmony and loved it! I know to really get pulled into a book, I need a suspense or some kind of psychological aspect to be sucked in. Harmony was fantastic and I don’t think I’ve ever finished a book so quickly. I was totally sucked in. When looking for a new book, I came across Wife Between Us and new I’d enjoy it. So far I’m a few chapters in and I actually look forward to getting into bed and reading – which was the goal!

Easy Clean Compost Bin

Steven has built a compost pile in our backyard and we were looking for some kind of bin to collect food scraps. At first, we used a weck jar, but the mouth wasn’t wide enough and Steven kept spilling coffee grounds on the counter. I came across this OXO Compost bin on Amazon and knew it’d be perfect. It fits perfectly on the counter, has a wide opening and it’s super easy to dump out – nothing sticks on the inside.

Smart Light Switches

We received a few smart bulbs from our wedding registry and I installed them in our bedroom. Since we moved into our house, I wanted to make it a smart home. Steven wasn’t on board…until he realized how easy it was to install and how easy it was to control the lights with Alexa. He quickly became obsessed. We have a ton of can lights in our living room and kitchen, so instead of replacing each individual light bulb, we replaced the light switches. I got Leviton switches on Cyber Monday and Steven started installing them. It’s AMAZING to say “Alexa, I’m leaving” and all the lights turn off, or “Alexa, I’m home” and all the lights come on. I can’t decide if this is us being super lazy, or being innovative – haha – but I’m happy with this purchase!

Cycling Shoes & Clips

So I actually bought these a few months ago, but I’ve just started spinning pretty regularly again. It’s so nice to have my own shoes and not have to rent or borrow shoes. These are just under $50 and do the job! They’re super comfortable and I’m really happy with my choice. I also bought SPD clips. Honestly, I bought the cheapest kind and they work perfectly. If I start riding more frequently, I might upgrade shoes and clips – but currently, these work really well.

Outdoor Voices Leggings

The TechSweat 7/8 Dipped Leggings and the 7/8 Tri-Tone leggings on were my only Black Friday purchase. While I was, a bit nervous about sizing because I heard they can be very hugging and snug. The large (normally I’m a medium or large in leggings) fit perfectly. The fabric isn’t as stretchy as Old Navy or Athleta leggings. Surprisngly, I actually really really love the way they fit. I highly recommend these if you’re looking to spend a little more on quality leggings.

Do y’all enjoy posts like this? I’m thinking of making them a monthly thing, but would love to know y’alls thoughts!
