Sharing a new app for IBD patients

I’ve been diagnosed with Crohn’s for two years and honestly, I still feel lost half the time. Many nights I’m up googling things to find out if others experience the same thoughts, feelings, side effects, etc. I understand everyone’s journey is different. But it’s nice to be able to reach out and chat with others who know what Remicade is, who understand that sometimes you just can’t eat something or get that random stomach pain is becoming uncomfortably normal in your daily life.  The Instagram community can be helpful, but sometimes I just crave a community that truly gets it.

I’ve found a community on the IBD Healthline app

Not only have I found a community who gets IBD is different for everyone… but I’ve learned so much about other’s and their journey with IBD. I’ve learned other people have side effects from drugs too and what safe foods work for some and not for others. Most importantly, I’ve found comfort in some of my struggles with IBD. I’ve learned the road is not easy, but everyone is learning to deal with it in their own way. It’s truly inspiring to read some of the stories of courage and strength.

The IBD Healthline app is set up as a true community.

It offers you the ability to private message with others or chat in different groups. Some of my favorite groups are Personal Community, Treatment & Side effects and Diet & Alternative Therapies. I hope to one day I can treat my Crohn’s with just diet. I’ve loved asking questions and learning from other’s journeys and how they’ve achieved this goal.

I”m so excited to share I’ve partnered with IBD Healthline over the next month and share more about my experience with the app. If you’re recently diagnosed or have been diagnosed for many years but still crave a community, download the app and learn more from others.

I’ll be on the IBD Healthline app tomorrow, May 21 at 8:30 CT discussing how to ask for help from friends and family when you’re the “strong” one. Please join me during this chat as I share my tips for asking for support from friends and family.
