When I texted Steven asking for help writing a gift guide for your husband, he literally responded with a list of what not to give your husband for Christmas. Here were his suggestions on what not to give:
- Don’t spend too much money
- Don’t give chores (I’m not 100% what he means by this because obviously, chores aren’t a gift)
- No clothes
- If you think it’s a cute gift, it’s probably not (LOLOL this was directed right at me)
- If you get him something and he doesn’t use it, don’t get upset
Not sure if the above list is helpful for any of you, but it made me laugh and slightly annoyed – so I decided I’d pass it along. He obviously knew I was upset with this list and came home with a real list. I had to remind him this was for a gift guide…and not just for him.
Belts
“Can’t have too many belts” – Steven, y’all. But I weirdly agree with this suggestions. I have two belts, brown and black, and could definitely use more. The best part? Amazon has TONS of belts to choose from. Check it out!
Nice Carwash
I don’t think every guy would love this, but do think most guys would. I know steven really appreciates a clean exterior and interior. We definitely don’t wash our cars enough and I could see a Mr. Carwash subscription or something like that getting used a lot by most men!
Clamps
Steven is slowly building his woodworking shop in our garage. He claims high-quality clamps are a must have and come in extremely useful about the house. I’m going to be honest, this one has me super lost – but whatever makes him happy! Haha.
Gift cards to use with friends
I 100% agree with this suggestion. A gift card for a day of golf or to a fun restaurant he can use with friends seems like a fantastic idea. Also, I think this would be great for wives too! I’d love a spa certificate to use with friends.
Coffee Cups
Ok, so Steven would never ask for a nice coffee cup – BUT – I got him a nice 32 oz coffee mug earlier last year and he still uses it every.single.day. I think it’s important to note that Steven is a huge coffee drinker…like sips coffee all day long.
