Whole30: Week 5 Meal Plan + GI Update

Don’t those waffles look delicious? They’re Simple Mills waffles, paleo and whole30! These are from a Galentines brunch my friend hosted yesterday!

Going to be brutally honest with you all. I didn’t stick to my meal plan for week 4 at all. I stuck to Whole30, but my meal plan went out the door. Why? Because I had no other choice. That sounds dramatic, but it’s pretty true.

Let me explain further. My stomach pain and GI issues are back in full force. Pain hits my stomach minutes after eating and cramps on and off through out the day. Unlike last time this happened, I knew who to contact immediately. I reached out to my GI doc and he decided to do another colonoscopy…so I’ll be having that done this week. Fingers crossed and positive thoughts for answers, y’all.

Meal plan for Feb. 6 – Feb. 10

Monday

Breakfast: Banana

Lunch: Chick-Fil-A chicken fingers (slowly trying to add chicken back into my diet, we’ll see what happens!) Also, didn’t make these last week.

Dinner: Hot dog and vegetables.

Workout: Camp Gladiator at 6:45am and possibly a Sonic Hot 60 yoga class in evening.

Tuesday (DAY 30!)

Breakfast: Green smoothie

Lunch: Leftover chicken strips.

Dinner: Chipotle bowl.

Workout: Yoga or walking Gundy.

Wednesday

Can’t eat much today, might make some paleo jello. What a way to celebrate day 31!

Thursday

Procedure day.

Dinner: Potato and chili.

Workout: Rest day.

Friday

Breakfast: Green smoothie.

Lunch: Leftover chicken.

Dinner: Potato + a piece of paleo dark, dark chocolate. The one thing I’m still craving.

Workout: Camp Gladiator at 6:45am if I’m cleared to go.

I know, this meal plan is super sad. I hope to be able to share a better meal plan next week. Since my Whole30 is almost over, I wanted to share with you all what I plan to do post Whole30. Currently, my game plan is to stay strict paleo until April. My yoga retreat in South Africa is in April, and I’m not sure it’ll be feasible to stay paleo on my trip. I want to stay strict and see how I feel. Of course, I’ll have to play it by ear and see how I feel. As always, I’ll keep you all posted and will continue to share meal plans and recipes.
